China to recruit more college students in military conscription
China government plans to more college students into the military conscription, which will begin on Nov. 1st, according to the recruiting office under the Defense Ministry. The recruitment office said, “To Absorb college students into the army are an important measure to improve the cultural quality of soldiers and optimize the structure of the army.� If students join to the army, they are able to rearrange their school work, reducing or waiving the tuition fees, and enjoying priority in employment when they complete their service. Also, The well-performing college soldiers can also be preferentially considered in studying technology, promotion, and applying to enter military colleges. The college soldiers who finish their service will be selected as military students with top-priority when they study at school or will join a contingent of military cadres after their graduation.
I think it is a great deal for college students. However, Should China expand military affairs? Since Tiananmen Square Demonstration the Chinese Government have been reinforced the country of defense to double figures. They were increasing budget seventeen per cent in 2001 to 2002, but it is just only surface. They also have fee of missile development and war expenditure, so it will be more per cents of money into military fee. The reasons of the China Government put a lot of money is Asia’s safe security. The China Government doesn’t want to let America’s single hegemony. Moreover, the Chinese Government doesn’t want to religion have a power(that is one of powerful religion calls 法輪功), also some areas(Tibet and 新彊) still have estrange movement from China. Most consider thing is Taiwan. The Chinese Government hasn’t been agreed with Taiwan’s independent from China. So, these reasons lead The China’s expanding military power and money. The Chinese military power is top class, but I want to say to China has to be using money other things like pollution problems and protect nature, also education for children.
